Health And Wellness Seminar
Dr. Sherell Vicks, Hillandale Medical, Lithonia, GA presented a Health Education Seminar sponsored by the FSP South DeKalb Community Development, Inc. with an assist from the Eldoris S. Williams Food Pantry. Topics presented focused on community needs and included: Diabetes, Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Depression, and Anxiety. The topics and Doctor were well received. We continue to seek out and create opportunities to serve and education our communities. (August 22, 2017)









Black Lives Matter: Beyond The Protest
On February 25, 2017 the FSP SDCD Inc. supported the First Saint Paul’s Women’s Missionary Society/ Men's Ministry as they hosted a Black Lives Matter: Beyond The Protest forum. The event provided the community valuable information and resources on how to become more involved, and better understand their rights. The panelists consisted of various professionals including business owners, activists, preachers, educators, and lawyers. The topics discussed were:

The panelists discussed with the audience personal experiences and provided advice on many prevalent issues they have, or may face. The guests were able to ask questions to further engage the professionals. Everyone found the event to be helpful and a great way to wrap up Black History Month.
